Horseman’s Conference Space

Location: Louisville, KY

Project Overview:

A local non-profit Horseman’s group, located inside a world-renowned horse racing track, required an aesthetic upgrade to their conference and meeting room, along with a bathroom. The requested look was timeless, richly elegant, club-like, with a lean into the horse racing theme, of course, and a touch of cigar lounge vibe. “The Godfather meets Ralph Lauren!” was told to the designer!  A colorful palette of cognac brown, rust, deep green, and warm neutrals set the stage. Large, alabaster lighting fixtures were placed in both the conference and the conversation area. Overstuffed leather club chairs, a birds-eye maple printed cocktail table, along with a bar cart and antique cigar art, complete the conversation area. Specialty horse art, a rustic wood server, and slim conference chairs allow for many to meet in person as well as via video calls. The bathroom is more of an “elevated lounge” and continues a strong equestrian theme, with seating areas, coat racks, plaid wallpaper, and elegant accents throughout. Business meetings in this space are a relaxing treat for certain!
