This client’s full kitchen renovation naturally led to a dining room update. They wished to keep their family’s table and china cabinet. The whole first floor was on the forefront of a makeover. The color palette became blues, greys, soft greens, and plenty of neutrals. A gorgeous, soft aqua rug anchors the space. While the antique, turned leg table was to be kept, the chairs had served their time and needed repair. So, it was determined that new, sturdy dining chairs with an oatmeal upholstery were the solution. Their detailed legs and nail heads paired well with the sentimental table. The previously painted scheme was replaced by an unexpected aqua, silver and soft gold modern plaid wallcovering above and below the chair railing. The windows are framed with an embroidered floral patterned fabric in blues, greens, and whites. The chandelier was very updated in a dark bronze quatrefoil shape. Abstract art and a lovely brass and glass lamp finish the space.
