Project Overview:
This kitchen was in need of an update from the old wood-stained cabinets while keeping the current footprint. Design inspiration from the client showed white cabinetry, light countertops, stainless steel appliances, and still a need for a sitting desk area. The wood-stained china cabinet needed to stay. The eat-in dining area was also in need of an update. Updated white cabinetry was the solution, but with subtle brown glazing to complement the family’s wood china cabinet. The desk area was re-done, but with more closed storage, an open table-like surface, and a handsome office chair in grey fabric and nail heads. The eating area features a grey wash legged table, chairs, and a bench on the window side so the view is less obstructed by chair backs. A fun patterned blue rug is underneath. Roman shades in the bay and the door are white with colorful and whimsical embroidered florals. A wood and metal lantern hangs overhead.
