Project Overview:

For this main bathroom update, on the to-go list were the time worn vanity and cabinetry, the large jet tub, old tile, old wallpaper, and our favorite—the swinging saloon doors to the water closet! A soft, neutral palette was desired. A double showerhead shower needed to remain, lots of good mirrors and dressing area, and a soft surface like a rug for family prayer time was requested. The design inspiration started with a fluffy soft cream-colored area rug, which we dubbed “the prayer rug”! From there, light neutral tile for the flooring and shower side walls came. The floors are heated (of course!) Wallpaper of a beautiful “angelic” circular design subtly covers the walls of the main dressing area. A long white shaker style vanity with a tall pantry cabinet updated the same footprint. Warm Romanix granite is the countertop and equally “glowing” polished nickel Delta fixtures are seen throughout. Recessed sconces and a semi-flush fixture with organza shades provide the light needed. Mirrors abound with three framed mirrors above the vanity plus a large wall mirror for full length clothes checks! The shower has two shower heads and a sliding frameless glass door. A fun patterned tile is on the back wall of the shower to add interest. The large built-in tub was replaced with a freestanding tub and separate filler. Above it is a beautiful canvas art piece with touches of gold. The water closet got a “real hinged door”, an embroidered linen valance for the window, and some whimsical dog art, reflective of the breeds the clients love.
