Oldham County is a Kentucky County that has a population of approximately 60,350. The county is named for Colonel William Oldham and is part of the Louisville, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. Oldham County was established in 1823 and was initially a rural county until the 1850s when the Louisville and Frankfort Railroad company introduced rail lines to the area.
