Project Overview:

A fresh color palette starting with a saffron gold paired beautifully with the taupe walls and dark chocolate sofa. Tangerine, Spring Green, and Putty were added in the chair fabric, along with an olive animal print as contrast fabric, giving the “unexpected” touch the client also desired. These colors, along with a hint of turquoise, are repeated in the extensive framed art pieces throughout the room and into the nearby “art wall”, which ties these rooms together. The Tangerine fabric in the recliner nearly “blends” with the hardwood floor stain. The recliner’s metal finish, canvas binding on the area rug, and various accessories in the room, are dark brown, relating to the sofa color.  The length of the sofa is balanced on the opposite side of the room by an extra-long television console. Height on the console wall was achieved with a trio of framed art. Entertainment friendly pieces include three new chairs, highly durable, sisal blend carpeting (customized into a large area rug), and move-able accent tables.  Using a series of throw pillows visually “pulled the sofa in” and further gave the room balance. Leather buttons on the pillows relate to the sofa.  Clean furniture lines, long drapery panels, and metallic accents afford the room the desired contemporary feel.
